From donating food and household items to reusing moving supplies, we’re committed to making a positive impact across the region we serve.
Move For Hunger Partnership
We’re proud members of Move for Hunger, a national program that helps fight food insecurity through the moving industry. On moving day, many customers discover non‑perishable food they don’t want to pack or transport. Our crew collects those items and delivers them to the Shalom Center in Kenosha, ensuring they directly support local families instead of going to waste.
How it works:
- Set aside any unopened, non‑perishable food before your move
- Our crew collects it during your appointment
- We deliver everything to the Shalom Center
- Your move helps feed local neighbors
A simple act that makes a meaningful difference
Donating Household Items
If you have items you no longer need, we do our best to help them find a new home. When space allows in the crew vehicle, we can deliver donated items to Nifty Thrifty Resale Shop, which directly supports Women and Children’s Horizons of Kenosha, Inc.
They accept specific items, including the following (subject to their current guidelines):
- Gently used clothing
- Household essentials
- Children’s items
- Personal care products
We include a link to their website so customers can check the most up‑to‑date list of accepted donations before setting items aside. This service is available to customers throughout Kenosha, Southeast Wisconsin, and Northeast Illinois, depending on crew vehicle space.
Reusing Moving Supplies
Whenever possible, we may collect unused or gently used moving supplies from customers, including:
- Cardboard boxes
- Packing paper
- Tape
- Markers
If the crew has space, we can take these materials with us so they can be reused on future moves or donated to local families in Kenosha, Southeast, Wisconsin and Northeast, Illinois communities.
This reduces waste and helps keep moving costs down for the local families.
